Passion, Purpose & Partnership

In today's complex world, freedom comes in many forms.  It might be the ability to pursue our hobbies, or to enjoy our relationships.  However we define it, freedom involves time--and the ability to spend it the way we want. Financial security is the ability to spend our time the way we choose--and knowing that those we love and who depend on us have the same opportunity.  Working together, we can identify the financial goals and solutions to help provide the freedoms of financial security for you and your family.

Our Mission: To bring passion, purpose, and partnership to those who care about the freedom of achieving financial security.

  • Passion - A powerful and contagious emotion that moves us to act on the most important aspects of our lives, and helps others to make their intentions become reality.
  • Purpose - A reason for doing something.  The grounding belief in something long term, usually bigger than ourselves, that gives meaning to current decisions and activities.
  • Partnership - A collaboration toward a common vision or purpose.  A long term relationship of substance and depth, in which the participants can be counted on relationship of value.

Dan Schiffman Presents the FMH 2017 Good Samaritan of the Year Award

Photo of Award Presentation, featured from left to right: Tom Kleinhanzl, President & CEO, Frederick Regional Health System; Sue & Dick Basford; and Dan Schiffman, Chair, Special Gifts Committee.

Dick and Sue Basford were named Frederick Memorial Hospital’s 2017 Good Samaritans of the Year at a recognition event on May 3rd for some of the hospital’s most generous benefactors.

Dick and Sue Basford were presented with the award in honor of their shared lifetime of community service and philanthropy. Longtime members of the hospital’s Order of the Good Samaritan, the Basfords are also active members of the FMH Auxiliary, contributing a combined total of well over 7,000 hours of direct patient and administrative service.

“In addition to giving generously of their time and resources to Frederick Memorial Hospital, Dick and Sue have spent countless hours volunteering on behalf of some of our community’s most vulnerable members,” said local businessman and FMH Special Gifts Committee Chair Daniel Schiffman. “Both have focused their efforts on improving the lives of mothers, children and families, the elderly, the sick and the less advantaged. As one of their nominators put it, ‘they are the epitome of what it means to be community servants.’”
